As promised, I whipped those pesky little elves into shape and had them knock this little promo video. Its a little rough round the edges, but then I have been working them extra hard in the cylindar these past few months.

I almost feel sorry for those poor Elves, they are starting to look battered and bruised. Keeping the cylinder turning is work enough for them, but now I am cracking a second whip over them…I may even have to recruit a few more to help lighten the load. I must confess, even though I am a trans-dimensional being, embedding still makes me feel a little nauseous and the effects of being part sofa, for as little time as it may be, are still rather unsettling. But nothing motivates like necessity and I need to expand my hoards. Their work is ceaseless, but it cannot be done without them. I’m sorry, my boys, it looks like it’s just another day in eternity with your BOSS!

The Nature Of Things

The elves grow restless with each passing minute before the next performance, they almost appear irritable, as if they are somehow under appreciated. I am somewhat perplexed at this but feel I should do something to alleviate their unrest. Though I crack the whip, endlessly, with uncaring abandon, what they have achieved in 8 months is nothing short of miraculous, but don’t let them know that I said that, or they will start to slack off and the cylinder will soon cease to turn, bringing all of creation itself to a grinding halt, and that would be disastrous to all life manifest.
As tired as I am, I MUST keep them on their toes, for should they get the slightest whiff of my fatigue, well, the phrase “run amuck” springs to mind…
Of Elves and Men

Well… The best laid plans of Elves and Men, for a two week vacation post soundwave were shattered after getting woken up at 4am by those fucking Elves rolling the beats out AGAIN! Trans-dimensional beings get no rest apparently, am I being punished for something I did in another dimension, or is this just some kind of “trans-dimensional” joke that Gestalt Entities just don’t get? Perhaps its the Sofa in me that fails to see the funny side in this, but, the Elves assure me that I’ll be a happy little psycho once I hear the results. I had better be impressed, or the firm end of my whip is going, well, you know where…
The Final Piece…

…of the puzzle was laid into place today, and I must say, those lazy elves appear to have put some effort in for a change, that is, without my stick being placed firmly up their mischevious little arseholes. Insanity aside, its come together better than we could have ever expected within this timeframe, but theres always more to do, rehearsals conitune tomorrow right up until soundwave, I shall be folding dimensions early tomorrow morning, and will once again be at the mercy of the good Doctor.

Preparing for Soundwave

Its less than 4 weeks to go until we go live with The Masquerade and frantic preparations are being made to push the quality of the music even further than originally thought possible. I am quite simply staggered at how a proto idea for a new approach to performing, that had its birth on November 1st 2008 has evolved into what it is now. Since then, 675 grooves have been written and about 50 of them have been fleshed out and placed in the set, the final 325 will be written after soundwave. I now consider the development stage to be over, the rest is gravy.
So what happens next? Once we have sifted through all 1,000 grooves we will choose the best 20%, the rest will be discarded as it makes no sense in trying to release 1,000 grooves, we would never finish the project and I would really like to get my teeth into glitch hop asap. The same system will be implemented, 1,000 grooves are planned to be written by the end of the year. The same thing will happen, we will choose the best 200 and discard the scraps, this will ensure that we have a constant supply of material to release and that no garbage will find its way out of the camp.
